We visited Budapest for only one day on our way from Romania to the Czech Republic in 2002.  For someone interested in architecture, Budapest has many visual delights such as the ones shown below.

These delicate spires and dome adorn the top of the parliament buildings, located on the Pest side of the Danube River.

The opera centre was a fascinating building to visit.
